Understanding red dot optic mounting patterns for slide milling
An optic footprint refers to the mounting pattern on the bottom of your red dot sight. This pattern must match the cut we mill into your slide for proper installation. Choosing the correct footprint is critical for a secure, functional mount.
Screw Pattern: 0.740" / 18.8mm
The most common optic footprint. Compatible with Trijicon RMR, SRO, and many other manufacturers who use the RMR standard (Holosun 407/507 series, Swampfox, etc.).
Screw Pattern: 0.625" / 15.9mm
Compact version of the RMR footprint, designed for subcompact slides. Compatible with Trijicon RMRcc and similar compact optics.
Screw Pattern: 0.550" / 14mm
Shield RMSc footprint for slim slides. Compatible with Shield RMSc, Holosun K series, and other micro red dots using this pattern.
Screw Pattern: 0.550" / 14mm
Leupold Delta Point Pro footprint. Also compatible with some Sig Romeo optics.
Slide Width: Minimum 0.850" / 22mm
Aimpoint ACRO footprint for enclosed emitter designs. Requires wider slides due to larger mounting area. Compatible with Aimpoint ACRO P-1, P-2, and Steiner MPS.
Pattern: Custom and programmed to order
For optics that don't match standard footprints. Requires exact measurements and specifications.
